Mr. Trilobite softie

I made this little softie for my niece - the pattern is from an Aunt Martha's Dinosaur book. I used scraps from some slacks I made into capri pants on Friday, and did the lettering myself. I really like it - and I already have a couple more in the works... It took me a bit longer than I expected to stitch this little guy - I think it was all the detailed segments, feelers and legs. :)

cut and ready to stitch together

Hi Floresita,
Thanks for leaving your comment on Patra's Peacocks - I'm pleased that you enjoyed it! I have just been looking at your blog and I LOVE your stitching! When I'm not doing cross stitch, this is the kind of embroidery I love, on teatowels, pillowcases, etc. but I never seem to have enough time to do what I want to...sound familiar?
I don't know if you have seen my original blog Patra's Place, but my stitchings are all on there, along with my vintage linen collection. If you visit, and you see anything you like, please feel free to copy it - I am happy to share anything in my collection with fellow embroiderers!

Thank you Gina! I'll definitely be visiting your page again to see some more stitching - thanks for inviting me! ;)

I know what you mean - I have so many projects lined up, if I only had time to stitch them all! :)

I write for a site called Geek Crafts and on Friday I will be featuring your trilobite cross stitch sampler on our site. You can see the post here: after noon Mountain time. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

By the way, I created a few other dino friends for Mr. Trilobite, if you're curious - here they all are together:
