Working on this tiny patch, with less control than on typical fabric, and having to stitch so small, this has a sketch-like quality unlike anything else I've stitched. I like it, but not as much as I thought I would... I plan to re-visit the loteria cards, but work much larger.

I finally finished the pillowcase I made using the Stitch-It Kit patterns. I go back and forth with how I feel about the colors - but I like the textures I created on the banner and the embellished skull. I'm least fond of the little coffee cup, but I just couldn't restrain myself in terms of putting something there... :)
I added some more Spanish words to the little bird's banner - it now says "my love." The swallow is cute, but my favorite by far is still the skull and banner...

I made this as a swap for a Flickr friend... and once again re-visited the free days of the week cat patterns from patternbee.com. Colors are always a challenge for me - I squint and move thread around for hours, stitching and re-stitching when I'm not happy. The washing machine is a scrap of light purple t-shirt that I embroidered on. I have to say I am most proud of that funky orange sock and the Soap box.
Here's a blurry pic of the finished shirt:

I really like where this is now....
Day Two:I added a chainstitch in yellow and stitched the skull in light gray. At this point I was thinking the skull looked pretty boring, but I kept at it...
Day One:I started off pretty plain, like, this...
This is a pillowcase I started recently - I used all six strands of the embroidery floss included in Jenny Hart's Stitch-It Kit (the pattern is also from the kit). I like how using all the strands gives the embroidery a puffy, raised texture. I don't like how it leaves large holes in the fabric when I change my mind about the colors... :(

I stitched this when I came down with a cold. I was finished after a day and a half of (almost) constant stitching. I used the tea towel and embroidery floss in Jenny Hart's Stitch-It Kit.
The cutesy pinup girl and the "Baby" lettering underneath are both from www.needlecrafter.com.
The little motifs on the corners - compact, mascara wand, atomizer, and lipstick are all patterns from the Stitch-It Kit:

The design is an Aunt Martha's Dinosaurs transfer - I appliquéd little scraps of old t-shirts to make the design more fun... The tank top is from Forever 21, I really loved the navy blue trim and buttons. This was my quickest project yet - done in just one night!
