Photo a day challenge

not quite a letterbox, but close :)

I’m just gonna be honest - I have tried those 365 day challenges before and I have petered out, every time. It’s embarrassing. But I take photos less and less, and I really want to get back into being a daily photo-taker. So I’m taking on a Photo a Day challenge I found via Pugly Pixel’s blog. I don’t have an iPhone or Instagram, but I think I can discipline myself to take and upload one photo per day for one month. I think.

something i adore

For vintage-y effects, I tried - they're a free online editor with filters + effects. I just hit randomize until I find something that suits my fancy, then upload it to Flickr. I think it'll be a fun way to play around while I hopefully get better... Anyone else out there want to play along? :)

Hi Floresita,
I too started a 365 photo challenge a couple of days ago. I'm also kind of nervous about petering out, but I'm going to give it my best shot. I haven't deceided where to post these little buggers yet, I'm not sure I want to post them to my regular blog space... I was thinking of making a new space somewhere. You you plan to post yours here? Thanks for the links, I'm interested in seeing what others are doing with regard to this, and to the filters & effects. I don't have photoshop or anything, and it would be neat to play with the photos a little more. Anyhoo, good luck!

I'd love to see what you come up with! so far I'm loving it - I think I can keep something up for 31 days. :)

I've done a 365 a few years ago and managed to keep up with it apart from a few days when I was ill. the 2nd year i tried it, i didn't do so well and gave up half way through.
i'm not doing it this year, although a 366 would have been great.
Anyway, I just wanted to thank you very much for posting the link to pixlr, as this is the tool i've been looking for a long time. now that i'm equipped with it i shall start experimenting with photos more - can't wait.
